Orbital ATK Aerospace Structures Division (ASD) located in Clearfield, Utah is currently recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Manager.
This position will lead the Maintenance function (approximately 30 employees including two facility managers) within the Facilities, Equipment and Tooling organization and will be responsible for maintenance and construction activities at all of our ASD Clearfield Freeport Center facilities. Responsibilities of this position include: leading two maintenance teams comprised of Electronic/Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC maintenance technician employees that support the Aircraft Composites Center of Excellence and the A/B/C/D/H building complex; managing and improving the preventive maintenance program; and oversight and management of construction and repair activities as well as preparation and management of Maintenance Material, Contract Maintenance and Shop Supplies budgets. Uses lean thinking/manufacturing fundamentals and TPM principles to organize work flow within the maintenance teams, streamline internal processes and minimize equipment downtime. Manages and is accountable for all aspects of employee and shop:process safety. Prepares and issues status reports, schedules, and memos as needed to effectively run the maintenance organization.
Education:
: B.S. degree or equivalent work experience with high school diploma
Experience/Background/Competencies:
: 10 or more years of facilities management experience. Five or more years in a management/supervisory position preferred
: Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams with diverse maintenance/craft skills and backgrounds
: Customer focus : demonstrated success in meeting customer expectations and requirements
: Conflict management : demonstrated ability to find common ground, get cooperation with minimum noise, and resolve disputes equitably
: Motivate Others : empowers others, creates an environment where employees feel they can perform their best
: Demonstrated success in building and managing facilities teams in a facility expansion and manufacturing ramp:up environment
: Effective project management, report writing and presentation skills
: Ability to deal with ambiguity : changing work demands, production schedules, unforeseen facility/equipment failures, etc.
: Some hands:on experience/background in maintenance fields preferred (Mechanic, Millwright, Pipefitter, HVAC background)
: Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications : capable of learning/using Microsoft Project
